Why is my land rover discovery keep overheating?

2002 land rover discovery overheating after driving an hour?

Drives great for the first hour then, overheats. We have replaced radiator, 3 thermostats and now am wondering what is the matter or what I could be missing?|||also check the coolant bottle, sometimes the treads get worn and the lid wont tighten properly|||check to see if your vehicle has a screw at the thermostat. it is to bleed the air out. or check to see if you have a collapse hose. other wise need to see if you may have a blown head gasket. next could be your fan not doing it's job. electric fan.|||like texas said, its more than likley the fan, alot of cars i have delt with that overheat is all down to a simple sensor, thts the only trouble with electronics these days there a pain to figure out when broken.|||Are you sure you you properly bleed the system before, as you might have an air lock! Also, try these websites!:

And see the Rover V8 sections (presuming you do have the V8), they both are great communities and usually help you very quickly indeed!|||I see you are on the right track of getting this problem fixed. I am assuming that this has fans, I would have to ask are the fan shrouds still there? What about the radiator cap? They generally have a seal that does go out over time. I also would ask when was the cooling system well flushed?
