Can you use a synthetic power steering fluid in a 99 land rover discovery 2?

I have a 1999 land rover discovery 2 that need's power steering fluid and I am not sure if you have to use the Land rover fluid(part # LRN-2261) Or if I can use royal purple max-ez?|||The Land Rover Discovery II had an option for 'active cornering enhancement'. If your Disco has this, the reservoir for your power steering will have two caps. If not, it will have one. It's very important to use the Land Rover fluid for both systems. You can not use generic power steering fluid from your local garage!


You risk seal damage and system failure which is not only dangerous but wil cost a lot more than the extra few quid you will pay for the proper stuff!
