Can i Paint my Land Rover's Roof something other than the white it is now?

I have a Land Rover 90 from 1990 and it has no air con, the roof is white but faded, would there be any reason for me not to paint the roof the same colour as the rest of the vehicle, i.e blue?|||you can paint it but the reason it is white is so it doesent attract the heat|||no. But white ( or silver ) is the best colour for reflecting heat so the car will get slightly hotter in direct sunlight. Most cars obviously have the same colour all over so the difference is probably quite small. For the least heat cover the roof in tin foil.|||you can paint it any color.





but I'd save that money for future repairs.
