Are Land Rover Discoverys a good car for a teenager?

I'm thinking of getting a SUV between 1999 and 2001. Now I know that Land Rovers aren't that fuel efficient. But are they a good car?|||No





They're very unreliable, expensive, gas guzzling and harder to drive than....less say a small sedan. They're great off road, but most teens will never need to do any off road driving.|||get a jeep cherokee of these years, those year land rovers are awful and you'll will be dead broke of all the repairs you ill be doing, i like land rovers but these years ones just suck because of the bmw electrical systems that didnt run the car properly|||They are excellent at off roading, but they have a terrible reliability record, especially the year models that you would be looking at.|||Due to the increased risk of roll over and the atrocious record of the land rover of those years my answer would have to be NO!|||Nope.


They are not reliable and expensive to maintain and hard to park. The Turning radius is very bad on those cars.|||no they are actually very undependable...high maintenace costs|||No, you would be in way over your head! 2001 Tahoe would be good.|||yes if the gas was not that high.
