Things to check before buying a Land Rover LR3?

Before buying a Land Rover LR3 what are some of the technical things I need to check to make sure it's running properly?

I'm buying a used one.|||Not to mark your decision. But Land Rovers/Range Rovers are not good vehicles. The builds are poor even by british standards. If you really want it, have the mechanic check the compression ratio, timing, transmission condition (complete), and most of the drivetrain components (especially the axles, drive shaft, and wheel bearings). Get a good mechanic, not necessarily certified but specialized.

Honestly most mechanics do a visual inspection for used cars which is not enough.

Good luck. But be warned...over 75k (or so) is dangerous territory for these vehicles; that's why they depreciate like nothing else.|||Your head.

Really.

I remember a lady on campus saying to a coworker that she bought a LR Discovery because "a lot of other people in Denver have them".

I'm sure a mechanic in Denver lives quite well because of that mindset.|||Check all the service records done on the car, carfax etc and bring a mechanic with you to check if you're not confident enough and if you buy an extended warranty the company or dealership will inspect the truck completely without charge.|||What you should be checking for is some other SUVs because the LR3 is a very unreliable used vehicle.|||type into search box
