Why buy a land rover or a range rover?

im considering buying a used land rover or range rover. i heard that they are unreliable. what are some pros and cons about them.|||Personally, I would advise against buying a Range Rover as over the last few years, RR has had a plague of problems with air suspension, poor quality fit, air leaks and the like. If you find a vehicle that you really like, though, please run a CarFax on it, then take it to a GOOD independent auto repair place as well as maybe an independent Rover shop to have them do a complete and thorough inspection of the vehicle from top to bottom. Also, do a good search of the vehicle online thru automotive sites like Edmunds or some of the others to get more opinions. If you are going to be spending more than $30k for a used vehicle, it's best to get all the info you can on that vehicle before you take possession. This could at least give you some peace of mind. If the user or the dealer refuses to let you take it to " your " mechanic, walk away from it.|||Overpriced status symbols.|||I can't believe all the people buying Rovers in my area. it must be some trend that people with too much money are into. But Land Rovers are rated as the least reliable vehicles out there. I rode in one once and broke 3 different things in the car. And I have never broken something in a car before or after. I think they are junk and just laugh when I see people in them.|||Joe Lucas didn't invent darkness, he merely perfected it. The Rover series are the best at what they do, worldwide, but they don't do it long enough between stops, and are notoriously fiddly to work on.|||the old land rovers ran a Chevrolet drive train..

with a 350 Chevy in place of the under powered 6..

they are hard to beat|||Range Rover is not reliable at all. British made cars never are.|||Consumer Reports magazine, in its annual owners survey, found Range Rover and Land Rover vehicles to be among the least reliable vehicles sold in the U.S. They are not attractive, not well built, and expensive to maintain. It's somewhat baffling that it has a reputation as a luxury vehicle and is so expensive to buy.|||It's winter. Hence, you will be able to ger around in your Land Rover / Range Rover!|||Overrated, overpriced and yes very expensive to repair.|||Land rover is tough

while

range rover is luxurious!
